The Lorain High School Junior ROTC Honor Guard, Marine Honor Guard and other guests of honor opened the ceremony. The Heroes Walk memorial to four area soldiers killed in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars was dedicated with the families of the soldiers present. A minute of silence occurred at 11 a.m.
