Elyria officer Jim Rider orders the alleged bank robber to get his hands where he can see him or he will shoot him. The man treaded water and yelled to police that they he wanted to die and that he wasn't going to go back to prison for seven years.

The man who allegedly robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Broad Street in Elyria as he struggles along the river bank after being cornered Elyria police, North Ridgeville police and Lorain County sheriff's deputies. The man ultimately surrendered after police cut off all of his exits from the water.
