Critter Chronicles: Dominio : Oh that Domino, he's a dog-gone nice dog! This cutie pie is a little shy at first, but it doesn't take him long to warm up, then he's as affectionate as can be. Domino was transferred to Friendship from Canine Lifeline so not much is known about him. He seems fine with other dogs and is friendly with everyone he meets. Domino has kept a clean cage and has not been a big barker during his time at the shelter. He's very easy on a leash too. Critter Chronicles: Danny : Hold on to your hats! This is one special guy! Danny was found as a stray eating out of garbage cans. The scared boy was brought to Love-a-Stray. But it didn't take long, though, before Danny learned that people are kind and he was safe. He is now one of the sweetest boys you will meet. He loves attention and will roll onto his back for a belly rub when ever you want! Danny is ... well, we really aren't sure what his breed mix is, but we think there may be some Dutch shepherd and some golden retriever. He knows "sit" and "shake" and is such a smart boy! Danny has enjoyed all of the dogs that he has met so far, but has not been cat tested yet so we aren't sure how he is with cats. He does have a little fear of new men, but after a few minutes he warms right up to them. He has stolen the hearts of all of the volunteers that have worked with him. He has come so far from where he was when he first was found. We are very proud of Danny and are hoping for a wonderful home for him. He is microchipped. P.S. These pictures do not do Danny justice at all! You really need to meet him to appreciate what a handsome boy he is! Critter Chronicles: FiFi : Meet FiFi. She was surrendered to the shelter with her housemate Bonzo because their owner did not have time for them. She is crate-trained and house-trained. FiFi likes other dogs, cats and kids but her owner believes she would be better off as the only pet in the home. Both played very rough together. FiFi has lots of energy and would thrive in a big fenced in backyard. She loves to run and jump. Fifi also loves lots of toys and kisses. This girl enjoys walks and water, especially playing with the hose and being sprayed. She'll eat just about everything you give her. She's not picky. Critter Chronicles: Bosco : Meet Bosco, a boy with an outstanding disposition! He was found running in the Metro Parks and followed a nice lady and her dogs home when they were out for a walk. It's likely he was abandoned there as no one came forward to claim him. He was at Canine Lifeline for a short period of time and now he finds himself at Friendship. Bosco is a very social guy and makes friends with everyone he meets, both people and other dogs. The vet who examined him even remarked at what a nice temperament he has! He does well in a crate. Bosco does need a little work on the leash but he's eager to please so should catch on quickly with a little more practice. Bosco is ready and waiting to meet his new family. Everyone keeps passing up Casey because he barks so much in his cage. Take him out and he's as happy as can be and stops barking. He's great on a leash and smart as a whip. Casey knows all his basic commands and a few tricks, too. He's fine with kids. You can get him for a senior price, but he certainly does not act like a senior. At least come for a visit. She's about 1-2 years-old and we're guessing she's a mix of Schipperke and Sheltie although her coat is on the shorter side. Truly, we don't know what she is as she came to us as a stray from Canine Lifeline but she sure is cute. Sprite's an active little dog who's got the stamina and bravado to keep up with any dog out there no matter their size. She's quite opinionated and happy to tell you what she thinks about things. Sprite seems to be quite a smart girl too--she picks up on new routines quickly and would probably be the star of her obedience class. Sprite is crate-trained and may be house trained too. Now this boy sits in his cage day after day waiting for a new home. This sweet boy has great house manners. He’s also fine with other dogs and cats. Blackie is 8 years old but has the energy of a 3 year old dog and the wisdom of an older dog. He likes to sit with his master and hang out. Blackie has alopecia that causes some hair loss in his hip area. Please don’t let that deter you from adopting him. He’s your typical lovable Lab!
